1:144 U-3A Blue Canoe (Cessna 310B) - On the Tarmac
Popularly known in the U.S. Air Force as the "Blue Canoe," the U-3 is the military version of the Cessna 310 twin-engine transport. In 1957 the U.S. Air Force selected the aircraft for service as a light administrative liaison, cargo and utility transport and also used it as a twin engine trainer. U3-As continued in U.S. military service into the mid-1970s. This 1:144 Scale model of the U-3A features a two part fuselage, for those interested in adding detail to the cabin, clear windows, dual bladed propellers and landing gear. The model was designed to be displayed on the tarmac, but a small pilot hole has been provided on the underside of the fuselage for those who want to display the model in flight.
