1:350 U-3A Blue Canoe (Cessna 310B) Gear Down
Popularly known in the U.S. Air Force as the "Blue Canoe," the U-3 is the military version of the Cessna 310 twin-engine transport. In 1957 the U.S. Air Force selected the aircraft for service as a light administrative liaison, cargo and utility transport and also used it as a twin engine trainer. U3-As continued in U.S. military service into the mid 1970s. This 1:350 Scale in-flight model of the U-3A includes spinning propellers. The model was designed to be suspended on a one sixteenth inch rod as if in flight, and so a hole has been incorporated into the underside of the fuselage to accommodate the rod.
