1:350 Northrup T-38 Talon
More than 72,000 U. S. Air Force pilots have trained in Northrop Grumman Corporation's T-38 Talon, the world's first supersonic trainer when it entered service. Nearly 1,200 Talons were produced from 1961-72, and more than 500 are currently operational with the Air Force and NASA. This 1/350 scale model of a T-38 Talon flown by NASA was designed to give the builder multiple options. The model includes two sets of landing gear for displaying the model gears down in either the retracted or extended position. Alternatively, gear doors are provided so the model may be displayed in-flight with gears up. The model also includes canopy parts, all printed in clear plastic, so that the canopies can be displayed either up or down. Detailing of the cockpit will make this an attractive option for many modelers. Flaps, ailerons and the rudder are all provided as separate parts, and can be assembled in the configuration of the modelers choice. Forward and aft ladders are also included. A PDF file containing decals with NASA markings is available for those who wish to print decals for the model, and a list of parts contained in the kit is also available.
